Is it True That Salt Is Bad For You?

Mankind seem to have a natural appetite for salt, this instinct is shared with most animals on the planet. But mankind unlike the other mammals has to fiddle with the raw ingredients and produce something different; "purification" is what it is called. Why do we do this; I have no idea. It is not only salt that is purified, so to speak, but also sugar, fruit, milk and all manors of other foodstuffs. The fact of the matter is that the salt that we put on our table is far different to the salt that is taken from the earth or sea. Common salt that you would buy down at your grocery store is a pure sodium chloride chemical, which does not exist in nature and is a far cry from the salt that your local herd of elephants would eat. What is the differences between common salt and natural salt; well the answer to that is simple: 84 natural minerals That is the number of minerals that the purification process takes out of the raw salt. The salt that Mother Nature makes and the salt that all the other mammals eat. It has to said that the common salt on offer in the shops is an unwholesome, unnatural substance which can be best described as white poison. There is a point of fact that sodium chloride is a very hostile destructive substance that does the body great harm. For one thing, salt has a direct link to your blood pressure. What the salt in your body does is make your body hold onto water; If you eat too much salt, your blood pressure will rise because of the stored water in your body. High blood pressure is not good for you because it can put a strain on your heart, which can lead to strokes, dementia, heart attacks and kidney problems. Also if you are on any form of heart pills, and take too much salt you could find that the pills do not work as well as they should. We all should stop taking " common salt" for our health sake and if you are suffering from any problems the salt will not help you deal with them. You will often hear and problem, think so yourself, that natural salt like Himalayan salt cost me the common salt. Well that is true, but ask yourself how much will gout or arthritis cost you? In actual fact you do not need much salt in a year. I have had a kilo of Himalayan salt that I bought last year and I still have enough for at least three months. So for your health's sake switch to a natural salt and you will do your self a favour because the food will taste much better as well.
