Trip to Spain

The letters 'a', 'b', 'c' & 'd' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 99 ('d' comes for the first time in Hundred). The letters 'a', 'b' & 'c' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999 ('a' comes for the first time in Thousand). [Martin's note: this isn't strictly true in UK English, where we say, for example, 'one-hundred-and-one' for 101. However, I understand that US English doesn't use the 'and'.] The letters 'b' & 'c' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999,999,999 ('b' comes for the first time in Billion) And The letter 'c' does not appear anywhere in English numbers no matter how high you count.
